(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — According to CSP, two vehicles, a Toyota RAV4 and a Honda motorcycle were involved in the deadly crash.

The Colorado State Patrol reported that an 18-year-old man from Texas was driving the RAV4 southbound on I-25 when the vehicle veered off the left side of the road. It hit a cable rail, spun out of control, and ultimately struck an abutment, coming to a stop and partially blocking the left lane.

The Honda motorcycle, driven by a 43-year-old man from Colorado, passed slowing traffic on the left and struck the left front of the RAV4. It then lost control, and the driver was ejected when the motorcycle veered off the road. The motorcycle continued south and hit a deer fence where it came to a stop.

When CSP arrived, they found that the motorcycle rider was deceased at the scene. The RAV4 driver was taken to the hospital but had no injuries.
