“I recover out loud”: local woman shares her story to bring hope to others

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) – September is recognized as National Recovery Month, and one Lowcountry woman is using her own story to bring hope to those in the community. “I remember coming out of Charleston County into drug court and really not having anything or anyone to go to not knowing the lifestyle, how to get there. I knew I wanted recovery, but I didn’t know how to get there,” said Asa Langston, who is in long-term recovery from substance use disorder. She continued:
