Bo Nix had a rough start to his NFL career. Thrust into the starting role for the first time in his career, the Denver Broncos rookie struggled in some areas. Despite the struggles, Denver was in good position to win Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Unfortunately, the Broncos’ comeback attempt fell short in Week 1. Nix had a solid final drive to put the team within one touchdown, capped off with a touchdown run from the quarterback. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to tie the game.
Some fans on Twitter were left frustrated after that comeback attempt, including one fan that expressed his thoughts in a long post on X.
Broncos star cornerback Patrick Surtain II came to Nix’s defense. The star preached patience and said that fans need to start seeing the positives more.
“Honestly this is what I expected not going to lie,” Surtain said. “So fickle, this is part of the game stuff happens he played great! So quick to hate on someone and go on social media to talk about it. This is part of the process man it’s pathetic..”
