The Indiana Fever got back to winning ways on Sunday, September 8, following a thrilling 104-100 overtime victory against the Atlanta Dream. Caitlin Clark and Co. saw their five-game win streak snapped on Friday, September 6, after suffering a 99-88 loss at the hands of the No. 2 seed Minnesota Lynx. Indiana made sure to quickly make amends on Sunday.
Clark had another tremendous outing in this one, turning in a 26-point, 12-assist double-double with four triples. It was, however, All-Star teammate Aliyah Boston who stole the show with an eye-popping 30-point explosion to go along with 13 rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block in 41 minutes of play.
After the win, Clark made her thoughts on Boston’s massive performance abundantly clear.
“AB’s a dawg,” Clark said of Boston. “She’s all over the glass, came up with clutch buckets, tied it for us, solid in overtime. She’s just different.”
I see no lies here.
As Clark said, it was Boston’s clutch heroics in the dying seconds of regulation that forced the game to overtime.
