1 killed in single-car crash on Reynolda Road in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — One person was killed in a single-car crash early Sunday morning.

According to a news release from the Winston-Salem Police Department, around 4:47 a.m., officers responded to a crash in the 1400 block of Reynolda Road.

An investigation revealed that a 2014 Mazda CX-9 traveling southbound had run off the road to the right and went airborne before flipping multiple times.

The driver and only person inside the car, Elijah Isiah Pridgen, 26, of Greensboro, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Pridgen’s next of kin have been notified.
