Attention, I-75 drivers: Short shutdown scheduled for southbound rest area in Marion County

Florida Department of Transportation officials have announced that the rest area in Marion County along southbound Interstate 75 will be closed from 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10 until 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11 so workers can resurface the entrance and exit ramps, according to a news release.

The southbound rest area is near mile marker 346, which is four miles south of the State Road 200 interchange in Ocala.

Motorists are reminded they can use other rest stops that are located in Alachua and Sumter counties.
