Grill catches OKC apartment complex on fire, evacuates residents

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. ( KFOR ) – An apartment fire in Oklahoma City sparked up Sunday morning after what officials believed was an out-of-control charcoal grill.

The complex is located near NW 42nd and Drexel and the calls for help were said to have come in just after 10:30 a.m.

According to officials, the building had to be evacuated for a short time.

They reported that several dogs that were near where the fire originated were saved. and nobody was hurt.

The flames spread into a small part of the first and second floors before being stopped.
