Sammy Omosigho knows the Sooners are capable of much more

While it felt great to go to 2-0, Sammy Omosigho recognizes that the Sooners can play much better and that needs to start with this coming Saturday against Tulane.

Just how big is it to come away with the win?

Sammy: It’s amazing! We practice all these drills every day. Coach V. says that you don’t win the game on Saturday, you win the game in preparation. So to do that and to see the outcome today, it was really amazing.

What do you feel going into this next game and after that SEC play? How do you guys think you’ll work together?

Sammy: We’re going to come back to dot the I’s and cross the T’s and get back to what we need to do. Go back to the drawing board and grab a week of preparation to get ready for the next opponent.

Defense as a group was on the field a lot tonight but what did it take to stay poised? Especially on those last two drives to keep coming up with those stops.

Sammy: Well, we’re a team so the offense has to compliment the defense and the defense has to compliment the offense. If one of the sides of our team needs help, we are going to be here to help them out. The offense would do the same for us.
