Wichitans gather for garlic in Old Town

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichitans gathered in Old Town for a garlic festival on Sunday.

This was the 7th annual Orie’s Garlic Fest by Orie’s Farm Fresh . It featured everything from music to food and drinks, and many people tried different variations of garlic, many with surprising twists.

“We bought several cloves of garlic. I have a couple different garlic powders. I had the ice cream, I had a garlic limeade. They were like, ‘You want a cherry limeade or a garlic one?’ and I’m like, ‘You know what? I’m at Garlic Fest let’s try it.’ It was upsettingly good,” said festival-goer Chris Coehler.

Orie’s Garlic Fest is hosted by Public at the Brickyard , but was expanded this year to include Old Town Plaza.
