Eugene, Ore – Eugene Springfield Fire responded to a fire in an encampment behind an abandoned home in the 300 block of Wilkie St in west Eugene Sunday morning September 8. Crews found the fire which was extending to a nearby tree between an abandoned home and the railroad tracks. There were no injuries reported and the cause is under investigation.
