Fall-like Air Despite Warming to Upper 80s and Low 90s

The week continues with sunny skies and a slight warm up, so what’s next?

Tomorrow Planner:

  • Warmer temperatures in the mid 80s.
  • Winds are light out of the south, bringing in that warmer air.

Humidity Levels:

  • Although temps are increasing, humidity levels stay very low.
  • This will help keep the air feeling like fall, even though temperatures warm up to the upper 80s to low 90s, it won’t feel too bad.

Upper Level Flow:

  • Outside of the slight warm up, not a lot going on around here.
  • However, something that could spice things up is a possible tropical development off the gulf coast.

Tropical Development in the Gulf:

  • As this disturbance intensifies, we could see it loosely taking two paths.
  • If the storm develops into a category 1 hurricane, winds will strengthen and we will see the storm veer to the right heading straight towards New Orleans and up to Mississippi and Tennessee.
  • If the storm does not strengthen much, it will likely veer to the left up the coast of Texas and as it moves inland, could bring us a few rain showers Friday morning.
