MONROE, La. (KNOE) – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced the launch of its new online permit portal website. The website is designed to smooth the permitting process for homeowners, developers, and municipalities. Users will also be able to apply for the Traffic Generator Access permit, which is essential for managing traffic impacts associated with new developments. DOTD says the portal will soon expand to include all permit types. As of now, users can apply for permits like mailboxes, projects, signage, and lighting by completing the appropriate applications found on the portal and contacting their district permit specialist for submission.
