CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Clouds will give way to sunshine this afternoon which will allow temperatures to warn into the low 80s. Sunny skies will continue into Tuesday before clouds start to increase again on Wednesday. We’ll be watching Tropical Storm Francine, which will likely become a Hurricane before making landfall in upper Texas or Louisiana later this week. This storm will not bring direct impacts to our area but it will indirectly bring plenty of moisture to the Southeast for the second half of the week. As a result, the rain chance will increase Thursday into the weekend. There is uncertainty with the track of this tropical system which will influence our weather later this week.
