LANSING — Democratic Vice President candidate Tim Walz will visit Lansing on Friday, the Harris-Walz campaign said in a press release Monday.

Walz will arrive at Capital Region International Airport at noon. His campaign said the Minnesota governor will participate in political events in Lansing, but did not provide further details.

His campaign did not say whether the event would be open to the public.

Walz will be in Grand Rapids Thursday to deliver remarks at a Harris-Walz campaign event, his campaign said. Friday morning, he will participate in political events in Grand Rapids, before flying to Lansing.

Michigan was one of the first locations Walz and presidential candidate Kamala Harris visited after she made her campaign official and chose him as her running mate.

The pair held a campaign rally in a Detroit Metro Airport hanger in August and visited UAW Local 900 in Wayne the following day. Harris was in Detroit again on Labor Day , following the Democratic Party’s tradition of hosting candidates on the federal holiday celebrating American workers.
