Tropical Cyclone Could Impact Ozarks

Some areas of the Ozarks may get a break from the dry conditions from the Gulf of Mexico. Tropical Cyclone Six, which is scheduled to make landfall in southern Louisiana and Texas on Wednesday, will move into areas of Arkansas and Missouri Thursday and Friday. While the current projected path has the storm center in the eastern parts of the states, areas mainly east of Highway 65 in the Lakes Region could see some rain associated with the system. The rain fall projections are no more than an inch for most of the Lakes Region, though a shift of the storm path west could increase the rain chances.
