Springfield area Week 2 athlete of the week nominees

Denver Welch, Neosho: Rushed for 163 yards and a touchdown in a win over Kickapoo.

Keegan Hunt, Republic: Recorded eight solo tackles with two assists and three for a loss in a win over Waynesville.

Brayden Richardson, Houston: Recorded three sacks in a win over Catholic.

Roman Miller, Seneca: Rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Mount Vernon.

Brady Ripp, Strafford: Caught four passes for 107 yards and three touchdowns. He also set the school’s sack record with four in a win over Monett.

Kellen Lair, Fair Grove: Scored four touchdowns on eight touches in a win over Central.
