Kern Democrats and Republicans show support for presidential candidates

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Democratic and Republican supporters gathered around Kern County to show support for their 2024 presidential race candidates.

Kern Democrats hosted a caravan rally for the Harris-Walz campaign. It kicked off Sunday at the Park at River Walk at noon.

Relay For Life 2025 season begins in Bakersfield

Attendees brought their homemade signs before they buckled up and drove through Bakersfield to show their support for the top of the Democratic ticket. The route began at the River Walk and ended at the Democratic Office on Q Street.

Meanwhile, the rubber hit the road in Tehachapi for a Trump rally on Saturday morning.

People gathered to show support at Tucker Road and Tehachapi Boulevard at the “Trump Force 47” rally. The rally featured food, refreshments, a DJ and tons of merchandise.

Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are scheduled to debate Tuesday evening. You can watch the debate on KGET-TV 17 with coverage beginning at 5 p.m.
