MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — An investigation is ongoing after a vehicle was struck by gunfire over the weekend, according to the Mobile Police Department.
The MPD said in a press release that officers were called to the area of Demetropolis Road and Government Street on Saturday, Sept. 7 for a shooting that happened around 8:50 p.m.

Investigators found that a vehicle was hit by gunfire as it was traveling through the area, the release said. No one was reported to be injured in the incident.
Police said this is an active investigation.
