Semmes teen accused in overdose death of 17-year-old: MCSO

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A Semmes teenager has been arrested in connection with the fentanyl overdose of a 17-year-old.

According to a Mobile County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, deputies responded Monday morning to Howells Ferry Road after a 17-year-old died from an overdose, which is believed to be fentanyl.

The spokesperson said the MCSO Major Crimes Detective took information from the scene that family members provided and located the person who allegedly sold drugs to the 17-year-old.

18-year-old Kaleb Daniel Harden has been arrested and is charged with manslaughter, possession of a controlled substance, and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

Harden is scheduled to appear in court for a bond hearing on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
