38 drivers cited in 1 day for traveling 100+ mph in Ohio, highway patrol reports

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Nearly 40 drivers across Ohio were allegedly caught speeding well above the speed limit in just one day.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports 38 drivers were reportedly caught traveling at speeds of at least 100 miles per hour on Aug. 30.

A photo captured by OSP alleges one of the drivers was traveling on I-75 in Miami County. Although the area has a posted speed limit of 70 mph, the Piqua Post of OSP claims the driver was caught traveling at 101 mph.

Troopers were out on the roadways across the state for Labor Day weekend traffic enforcement from midnight on Aug. 30 to 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 2.
