Albuquerque student accused of having gun at high school will stay in custody

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A teen accused of having a loaded gun at a high school campus will remain in custody. Police arrested a 15-year-old Valley High School student last Thursday after school authorities said they found a gun stashed away in their backpack.

The student is facing charges of carrying a deadly weapon on campus and unlawful possession of a handgun by a minor. The Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office said they have zero tolerance when it comes to firearms on school property.
