Local veteran among inductees into Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame

(WKBN) – One local veteran will be inducted into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame later this year.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Veterans Services (ODVS) Director Deborah Ashenhurst announced the 20 members of the Class of 2024 on Monday. Among them is Marshall P. Bahr, an Army veteran from Columbiana County.

Bahr and the 19 other veterans will be honored for their post-military accomplishments and achievements at the 33rd annual Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on November 7.

Living members of the class range in age from 39 to 84, and there is one posthumous inductee.

The Hall of Fame honors outstanding service and accomplishments following honorable service in the military.

This year’s Induction Ceremony begins at 10 a.m. at the Fawcett Center (2400 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus, OH 43210) on the campus of The Ohio State University. The public is welcome to attend.
