Tehachapi to hold 2024 Hometown Christmas planning meetings

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — You might think it’s too early to plan for Christmas, but that’s not the case in Tehachapi.

The City of Tehachapi is organizing two preliminary meetings for its Hometown Christmas event on Tuesday, Sept.17.

Armed Forces Support Foundation to host 9/11 Memorial Ride

The meeting will take place at the Tehachapi Police Department Community Room, located at 220 W. C St. at 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The City’s Community Engagement Department will lead the meetings, and encourage the members to attend and share their ideas or participate in the event.

The Hometown Christmas event will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7, on Green Street. It will feature vendors selling holiday-themed items, free crafts and activities for children, and live entertainment, city organizers said.

Bakersfield College to host 8th Annual Panorama Creative Music Summit

The event aims to bring holiday cheer and will conclude before the annual Christmas Parade at 5:30 p.m. on F Street. The Christmas Tree lighting will be held at the Tehachapi Depot Museum, after the parade.
