Police say husband admits to fatally stabbing wife in north Phoenix parking lot

A woman died, and her husband was jailed in her stabbing death early Monday in north Phoenix.

Stephen Dennis, 35, was charged on suspicion of second-degree murder in the death of 37-year-old Aliccia Grant, according to Phoenix police.

Around midnight Monday, officers were called to a business parking lot near Cave Creek and Thunderbird roads and found Grant suffering from multiple stab wounds, according to police. The fire department took Grant to a hospital, where she died from her injuries, police said.

The investigation revealed Dennis called 911 and allegedly admitted to stabbing Grant and giving dispatchers his location, according to police. Dennis was taken into custody by officers, and a knife thought to have been used by Dennis was found by police in the stabbing area, police said.

The investigation remains ongoing, police added.
