WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) – A man has been charged nearly two years after he allegedly tried to enter a suburban Wichita elementary school with a loaded handgun. The Sedgwick County district attorney’s office said 37-year-old Billy Jack Daniels, of Latham, made his first appearance in court on Monday and was charged with misdemeanor criminal use of weapons and criminal possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
