‘Green Pastures and Still Waters’: A testament to family, faith, and community Cool Spaces

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Jarene Pagliarulo and her late husband Adolf, who sadly passed away about ten years ago, lived in their home for 44 years. Their house is filled with objects, photos, and stories that pay tribute to the family’s heritage. Photos of generations of her family and her late husband line the walls in every room. Jarene believes it’s important for her two daughters to know their roots and heritage. The house is a lovely center-hall Dutch colonial house circa 1915, featuring oak wood floors, moldings, and stairs. Jarene and her husband named the house Green Pastures and Still Waters after Psalm 23, reflecting their deep involvement with The Reformed Church of Prince Bay on Seguine Avenue.
