City of Albuquerque unveils plant wall in downtown parking lot

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The wall of a parking lot in downtown Albuquerque just got a little greener. The City of Albuquerque worked on this project to beautify the area. The plant wall features a variety of succulents and herbs with their own irrigation system.

Two earthquakes reported in Bernalillo County

It’s surrounded by a plant art mural created by a local artist. “Everybody talks about the negative parts of downtown and there’s some truth to that but it’s just as important, probably more important, to talk about spaces like this, create spaces like this,” said Albuquerque City Councilor Joaquin Baca.

It will be open Monday through Friday from 11 am to 1 pm. The wall can be found on the corner of Fourth and Copper.
