ODOT enters transportation awards contest with ‘Ramp Up’ project

COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) — The Ohio Department of Transportation is looking for national recognition for one of its biggest downtown Columbus construction projects.

ODOT said the I-70/71 Downtown “Ramp Up” project has been entered into America’s Transportation Awards. The winning state will receive a $10,000 prize to donate to charity. Public voting is available.

The more than $1.4 billion project is currently in a fourth phase of reconstructions and replacements across both highways. It is estimated these phases will be completed by fall of 2026. To learn more about the “Ramp Up” project, click here.
