EUGENE, Ore. – Meet Miss Maple, our Pet of the Week who happens to be a ‘purrfect’ lap cat and ‘expurrt’ biscuit maker!. Greenhill Humane Society staff said that Maple, an eight-year-old domestic shorthair mixed breed kitty, was sadly abandoned and left behind after her previous owners moved away. Maple, understandably frightened and stressed from her bewildering circumstances, reportedly hid in a tree for a week as neighbors attempted to rescue her, staffers said. Greenhill officials said she was eventually safely trapped and delivered to the shelter where she hopes to find her ‘furr-ever’ home filled with unconditional love.
