KALAMAZOO, MI – A 19-year-old man pleaded guilty to second-degree murder on Tuesday, for gunning down Marcus Pierce, 33, in a Sunday, May 14, 2023 drive-by shooting. Demario Deonte Jackson, of Kalamazoo, was one of three passengers who was seen firing a gun out of a stolen vehicle that drove by a home in the 500 block of Ada Street in the city’s Northside neighborhood, shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Mother’s Day 2023, according to court records.
