These Coloradans won medals at the 2024 Paralympic Games

DENVER (KDVR) – Colorado sent nine athletes to the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. Four of them ended up bringing home medals, with eight medals overall: one gold, seven silver and one bronze.

A majority of these athletes hail from Colorado Springs, which is the home to the Colorado Springs Olympic and Paralympic Training Center. One of the winning athletes is from the Denver metro area.

These Coloradans won medals at the 2024 Olympics

Hailey Danz

Hailey Danz, of Colorado Springs, won the gold medal in the Women’s Paratriathalon PTS2. PTS2 refers to the specific paratriathalon event Danz competes in.

She finished the race with a 1:14:31 time.

This was her third time competing in the Paralympics, having taken home a silver medal in Tokyo in 2021 and another silver medal in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

Elizabeth Marks

Elizabeth Marks, of Colorado Springs, competed in several swimming events, both individually and on a relay team.
