Greenville Road north of Hopkinsville closed following drainage tile collapse

Greenville Road north of Hopkinsville is blocked to traffic from Antioch Church Road to Deason Lane following a drainage tile collapse, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced Monday.

The collapse resulted in a large hole in the road.

Sen. Whitney Westerfield posted a drone photo and video of the damage to his Facebook page.

“Crews are working to remove the damaged tile and fill the void,” state officials said in a press release. “An estimate on when work will be completed is unknown at this time.”

The closure is between mile points 21.96 and 23.66, according to the release.
