Weather is better in Buffalo than in Miami Thursday

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – Buffalo Bills take on the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night, September 12. Normally, there is a dramatic difference between South Florida and Western New York, but a game in early to mid September can be one that we have near equal weather, despite one factor:

HUMIDITY.

The dew point is well in the 70s, making it feel just brutally humid in Miami.

The weather in Orchard Park (and essentially Rochester) will be lovely Thursday afternoon and evening. Mostly sunny skies gets temperatures in the low 80s with numbers falling through the 70s. Fourth quarter would likely be in the 60s under clear skies.

High temperatures in Miami Thursday will get into the upper 80s to near 90°. That temperature will be within 5-10° of Western New York, but the drastic difference will be how it feels as the dew point will be well into the 70s, putting the heat index at over 100 by kickoff. Temperatures hold in the 80s throughout the evening, making the entire game feel like the 90s.
