Several members of the Notre Dame Club of Staten island shared with Joe Delaney, the director of the “Eve of Solemn Remembrance,” their personal stories and reflections of Sept .11 and why the “Eve of Solemn Remembrance” remains significant to them. The event is staged annually on Sept. 10. Delaney organized the first service with his friend, the late Jim Smith.
