Beloit man accused of punching elderly mother takes plea deal

A 46-year-old Beloit man who punched his 71-year-old mother in the head five times over a political disagreement won’t spend any time behind bars. According to online court records Matthew Gastonguay plead guilty Monday two counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct. He was originally charged with felony physical abuse of an elder person – intentionally causing bodily harm and disorderly conduct.
