Bakersfield attorney James Yoro dies at age 70

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The law office Chain Cohn Clark announced the death of James “Jim” Yoro on Saturday.

Officials with the law office say Yoro was 70-years-old and was one of the most respected workers’ compensation lawyers in the state.

The law office will be hosting a reception at the office in downtown Bakersfield to celebrate Yoro’s life and career. Officials say the legal community, clients and the public is invited.

It is with great sadness that our firm announces the passing of Jim Yoro. Jim was dedicated, not just to his clients and the firm, but to the community as a whole. I also witnessed firsthand Jim’s dedication to his wife Reverie, and his commitment to his daughters Kelsey and Carli. He will be greatly missed.

Yoro was the President of the Kern County Bar Association and he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Greater Bakersfield Legal Assistance.
