In October 2022, Rickords and Melvin Robinson killed Isaac Torres during an armed robbery at the Albuquerque Transportation Center at 1st Street and Central Avenue. Albuquerque Police say the duo is responsible for fatally shooting Bradley Soza in 2023 near the Ambassador Inn on Candelaria near I-25.

Robinson has already been sentenced in both both cases for a total of 40 years.
