Greenville, Spartanburg, and Clemson remember America’s sacrifice on 9/11, see photos

On Wednesday morning, September 11, remembrances were held in Greenville, Spartanburg, and Clemson.

Nearly 50 people gathered at Boiling Springs Fire District Station Headquarters in Greenville to commemorate Sept. 11, 2001.

“Every year, we memorialize the events of 9/11/2001 because we feel like that’s important because it’s foundational to who we are as Americans, but also who we are as the American Fire Service. We have young firefighters here who weren’t even born then, so it’s important to us to continue to educate them and still what that means to be a firefighter in the United States of America, said Boiling Springs Fire Chief Steve Graham, “it’s a little heart-wrenching to see the crowds begin to dwindle after all these years and we feel like it’s part of our mission to never forget those heroes and those who lost their lives.”
