RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Several Oktoberfest events will take place in late September and mid-October in the Richmond area, with beer, bratwurst and activities for all ages.
8News has compiled a list of events celebrating Oktoberfest in the Richmond area.
Oktoberfest at Benchtop Brewing
- Saturday, Sept. 14 from noon to 10 p.m.
- Located at Benchtop Brewing, 434 Hull Street in Richmond
- Free event with purchases to apply
Benchtop Brewing will be tapping its Festbier in celebration of Oktoberfest. The free event is bring-your-own stein and will feature a German-inspired menu, book fair and beer poking.
St. Benedict Oktoberfest
- Event times:
- Friday, Sept. 20 from 4 to 11 p.m.
- Saturday, Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Sunday, Sept. 22 from noon to 6 p.m.
- Located at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 300 N. Sheppard St. in Richmond
- Free admission
St. Benedict Catholic Church will celebrate Oktoberfest with music, dancing, a stein holding contest and activities for children. The event will also offer German cuisine, German and local breweries and wineries, as well as a Christkindlmarkt , or street market.
