FOX59/CBS4 to host gubernatorial debate before November’s general election

INDIANAPOLIS — A little more than one month before November’s general election, Hoosiers will be able to hear from Indiana’s gubernatorial candidates about issues that are important to them.

FOX59 and CBS4, along with our news partners across the state, will broadcast a live televised debate featuring candidates for governor.

The one-hour debate will air at 7 p.m. on Oct. 2 live from the FOX59/CBS4 studios in Indianapolis. The debate will be broadcast live throughout the state.

This comes after current Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb is not able to seek reelection because of state term limit laws.

In May, the state hosted its primary elections, determining a few of the state’s candidates that are expected to be on the ballot in November, including U.S. Senator Mike Braun, R-Ind. as the Republican candidate and Jennifer McCormick, the state’s former superintendent of public instruction, as the Democratic candidate. Donald Rainwater is also running as the state’s Libertarian gubernatorial candidate.
