Family shares update on critically injured Idaho firefighter

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) – The family of a wildland firefighter who was seriously injured by a falling tree shares an update on his condition. CBS2 previously reported that Justin “Riley” Shaw, a 26-year-old firefighter was injured while making an initial fire attack in central Idaho. A tree fell on Shaw seriously injuring him and leaving him with a traumatic brain injury. A GoFundMe set up to support the family traveling from Boise to Spokane regularly to be with Shaw has since raised $100,000 for community support.
