Denton’s local police department is lacing up their sneakers for a community run around Quakertown Park this Friday, and they’re inviting everyone to join. According to the City of Denton Police Department’s Facebook page, the event will include a 1-mile loop where participants can run, walk, jog, or bike, kicking off at 9:45 a.m. The initiative is meant to foster community relationships as well as give the public a chance to meet the new academy recruits.
