SBA opening disaster outreach centers in Lewis, Essex counties

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – The Small Business Association is opening up a pair of locations to help Northern New York businesses and residents dealing with the fallout of July’s severe storms.

The SBA announced on Thursday that affected by severe storms, tornadoes and flooding on July 10, are eligible to apply for low-interest disaster loans. This announcement was made by SBA Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzman.

Severe flooding in Lowville brings significant damage to homes and roads

New York businesses and residents in Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence, Clinton, Franklin, Hamilton, Herkimer, Essex, Oneida, Oswego, Warren and Washington counties are eligible for the program. Vermont residents in Addison and Chittenden counties can also apply for assistance if affected by the storms.

The SBA is strongly committed to providing the people of New York with the most effective and customer-focused response possible to assist businesses of all sizes, homeowners and renters with federal disaster loans.
