CLAY, Ala. – A 16-year-old student was arrested Wednesday at Clay-Chalkville High School for bringing a gun onto campus, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Shortly before noon, a Jefferson County School Resource Officer (SRO) was notified that a student at the school had a handgun. The SRO quickly took possession of the gun and took the male student into custody.
