Steelers’ George Pickens Not Worried About Broncos’ Patrick Surtain

Pittsburgh Steelers receiver George Pickens is emerging as one of the best receivers in the league. In Denver, Broncos’ cornerback Patrick Surtain has developed into one of the league’s best defenders.

The two players meet up in the NFL for the first time. But as Pickens explains, this isn’t their first rodeo.

“Just be myself, to be honest,” Pickens began. “I went up against Pat Surtain in college. So, a lot of this stuff isn’t new for me. He’s just a good player, just like a lot of the other players in here.

There are good players. I’m a good player. There’s a lot of good players around the league.”

During his media availability on Wednesday, Pickens was informed that Surtain could shadow him the whole game.

“Just hope they have their plan correct,” Pickens said. “I don’t really know or care what they’re gonna do.”
