GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Construction is expected to begin soon on a new $19 million public lodge at a park on the city’s southeast side. The new Martin Luther King Park Lodge will be five times the size of the old lodge, with community offices, a rentable multipurpose room and classrooms, a gymnasium and a fitness room for classes. A new, separate pool house will also be constructed, with new locker rooms for families to use when they go to the pool.
