Fiesta Bham happening Sept. 28 to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The annual Fiesta Bham festival will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in the Magic City’s Linn Park later this month.

The fiesta is happening on Sept. 28 from noon to 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $15 , with children 12 and under receiving free admission.

Artwork, food and performances from dancers and musicians will be showcased during Fiesta Bham, described as Alabama’s largest celebration of Hispanic culture.

Greater Birmingham Humane Society to host September adoption events

Educational programming is also planned along with health and wellness resources. Within the past 22 years, Fiesta has awarded over $130,000 in scholarship funds benefiting Hispanic and Latino students.

National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated throughout the U.S. from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15.
