MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Smoke Alarm Blitz is a chance to get a smoke alarm from the Mobile Fire Rescue Department and have it installed for free. Jeff Haller with MFRD said his team will be knocking on doors in the Airmont neighborhood between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, to see who needs an alarm, however, the event is open to everyone.
