GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A “G3″ geomagnetic storm is underway, leading to the Northern Lights to be visible farther south. The Aurora Borealis was witnessed as far south as Virginia so far, and could be seen toward the Virginias again early Friday. There’s a small chance that we could see the colors from the high mountains in North Carolina.
