Inland Empire men nabbed for midday burglary, officials say

Two men from the Inland Empire were arrested after surveillance footage captured them committing a midday burglary in Desert Center on Wednesday, officials said.

The break in occurred in the 45000 block of Kaiser Road, and when deputies arrived just after noon, the victim “reported seeing two male subjects on their property via surveillance cameras, attempting to open doors and windows,” the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

The men had fled, but witnesses spotted the vehicle they used, and deputies were able to located it.

Along with the vehicle, deputies found John Bell, a 56-year-old from Desert Center, and Andrew Grana, a 49-year-old from Earp, officials said.

The two were booked for conspiracy to commit burglary and residential burglary.

The men are being held in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Bell is due to appear in court at the Indio Larson Justice Center on Friday.

Grana is due to appear in Blythe Court on Oct. 22, and jail records indicate he also faces five drug- and driving-related charges, which carry an additional $5,000 bail.
